- Location data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS location to show nearby restaurants. We do not store your precise location on our servers.
- Profile photo: If you choose to upload a profile photo, it is stored securely in Firebase Storage.
- App activity: We store your saved restaurants (bookmarks) and personal collections in Firebase Firestore, linked to your account.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalise the Dishcover service
- To show you nearby restaurants based on your location
- To save and sync your bookmarks and collections across devices
- To display your profile name and photo within the app
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Places API – for restaurant search and data
- Firebase (Google) – for authentication, database, and file storage
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In – for authentication
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Children's Privacy
Dishcover is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
